Shoulder Season Isn’t Too Bad

Greetings!

I have made it very clear my utter disdain for the upcoming winter. I am a Beach Bum through and through. It was a great summer here on Cape, and I must say, the F-Word (Fall) shoulder season is not disappointing. Having lived here now 4 1/2 years, I have learned many of the little things that make the Cape so awesome! As an example, this time of the year, I still can do the following:

Go to Craigville Beach AND NOT PAY!! Woo-Hoo

Go to Mashpee Town Beach AND NOT PAY!! Again, Woo-Hoo

Ice Cream at the Polar Cave and still get zinged my Mark the owner. He thinks he is funny, not so much.

Fried anything at Seafood Sams…

Get from Yarmouth to Hyannis in 10 min, and even from work to Mashpee in 15!

Awesome sunsets in P-Town. Well, really any bay facing beach. Yes, I like sunsets.

Watching all the cars with Florida plates head OVER the bridges. (More on that in future blogs, I know now where in Florida they go for the winter, my ex-wife and kids live in Ft. Myers, and having been there ad seeing a few of the early early birds, OMG!)

Soon it will be cold, and I’ll be complaining about that, because I complain well. Until then, I shall enjoy the season!! You should too!!

And, for a GREAT guide to what going on during the shoulder season, stay here and check out CapeCod.com.

Cheers!
