How to Get Your Diet Back on Track

Over a year ago I lost 70 pounds. It took a lot of hard work and discipline and I loved the way I looked. Well, I am so mad at myself because I’ve gained back 12 pounds. So I said to myself today, “I have to get back on the straight and narrow with my weight loss.” If you’re in the same situation I have put together some tips that will hopefully help us get back on track.

#1 Remind yourself that it’s a marathon and not a sprint.
#2 Stop buying trigger foods. If I buy Oreo’s I will eat the entire package in 2 days. So, I can’t have them in the house!
#3 Keep a food log. Then you can see later in the day everything you’ve eaten because you might forget. It will keep you accountable.
#4 Drink as much water as you can.
#5 If someone is pushing food on you…then say “no thanks, I just ate.”
#6 Ask yourself…“will I be happy with that decision an hour from now.”
#7 Get rid of all your bigger clothing.
#8 NEVER give up on yourself.

Good Luck!
