Independence House 5th Annual Backpack Drive

Independence House launched their 5^th Annual Backpack Drive this month.  The drive helps to ensure children and teens start the
school year off right with all of the essentials items they need to get them through the school year.  The backpack drive supports children and teens who are clients of Independence House, as well as children of adult clients who might not financially be able to outfit their children with these important items.

The Independence House wish list begins with ensuring each child receives a brand new backpack, along with a lunch bag/box.  School supply requirements vary from school to school and age-levels on Cape Cod. Independence House will provide as many of the items needed to each child with donations received from the community.   Some of these items include:  pencils and sharpeners, rulers, pens, 3-ring binders, scissors, markers, highlighters, graphing calculators, filler paper and more.   A complete list can be found by visiting:   http://independencehouse.org/event/independence-house-backpack-drive-is-here-again/.

Independence House is accepting donations through Friday, August 19^th at their Hyannis office (160 Bassett Lane) during their normal office hours of 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday.
