CHATHAM – The Chatham Summer Residents Advisory Committee recently met with the town’s board of selectmen to discuss a number of issues the group has flagged as priorities for the town.
Instituting a beach nourishment program was high on the group’s list, as the town currently replenishes sand on beaches in conjunction with the dredging of waterways.
“I think you’ll find there’s a lot of support in town for doing something about this problem and to make it more than a contingency of dredging the waterways,” said Committee Chair Michael Waters.
“It’s worth independent consideration, money and action by the town. We think it demands your attention,” he said
Other issues included boat mooring regulations, as well as improving parking at the municipal fish pier.
